March films

Another month of statistics! What was my film of the month at the cinema? How may films did I watch during March? How many at the cinema and how many new? Read on to find out!

Films of the month

I am more surprised than anyone to announce that my film of March is The Batman! It was long, it was dark but I enjoyed it, enjoyed Pattinson as Batman/Bruce Wayne and I didn't notice the time. I want to re-watch it at some point. Please see my write-up for more of my thoughts: https://moviescoffeerunning.wixsite.com/moviescoffeerunning/post/the-batman

The runner up was definitely Phantom of the Open. A heart-warming and inspiring tale based on true events. Again, see my write-up here: https://moviescoffeerunning.wixsite.com/moviescoffeerunning/post/the-phantom-of-the-open

I managed to get my 10th (woo hoo) Spidey visit in and beat my Endgame record of 9 times at the cinema (it's the little things!). I enjoyed everything I saw though and I have to say that Dog was probably the film which surprised me most. The most magical screening was Buster Keaton's The General in the grand setting of Norwich Cathedral. What a way to see a film for the first time. See my thoughts here: https://moviescoffeerunning.wixsite.com/moviescoffeerunning/post/buster-keaton-s-the-general-at-norwich-cathedral

Michael Bay's Ambulance was well, definitely a Michael Bay film. I went in fully aware of what to expect and he delivered! I mean, it was insane and the drone shots were just frenetic and intense but it was fun and when you see a film like this surely that's what you want.

My favourite film streaming was The Adam Project. A much anticipated time travel romp with Ryan Reynolds and Mark Ruffalo. Being a time travel fan I'd been really looking forward to this and it didn't disappoint. I really need to re-watch this asap!

Re-visited a few 80s favourites as well with Innerspace, Weird Science and The Sure Thing. Having not seen any of these for a while it was a delight to re-watch all of these.

Let's see what April brings!
